Whale Watching on April 6th

We traveled our furthest to find whales in the Saratoga Passage.  It was well worth the boat ride to visit three gray whales #49 (nicknamed Patch), #21 and #56. Patch has been documented returning to the Puget Sounds since 1991.  He’s nicknamed patch because on his right side he has a big white patch.

Today we also saw a California Sea Lion and a Stellar Sea Lion napping on a navigational buoy.
