Today we found two gray whales, #22 & #383. They gave us a lot of close looks and some bonus whale breath. The trip started with a mature bald eagle sitting on a piling next to the ferry. We also saw several harbor seals and two California sea lions on a marker buoy.
We traveled our furthest to find whales in the Saratoga Passage. It was well worth the boat ride to visit three gray whales #49 (nicknamed Patch), #21 and #56. We made two trips today, one morning and one afternoon. We saw the same two grays on both trips, #383 and #49 (Patch).
